Welcome to Play Greenpoint, where every child is free to be a child. Our centers and eco-birthday venues aren’t just spaces to play - it’s a vibrant STEAM hub where curiosity meets creativity. Here, children explore, learn, and express themselves through Montessori-inspired, hands-on activities that emphasize STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Coding, Arts, and Mathematics). Play Greenpoint features two distinct spaces covering the needs of children from birth to 8 years old: Play Kids is our award winning afterschool center & New York City’s only eco-birthday venue, and The Play Lab is our early educational center, nature-inspired playspace .
THE PLAY LAB
The Play Lab is an early educational center and low-stimulation play space designed for children ages 0–7. More than just a place to play, it is a thoughtfully crafted environment where young children can explore, grow, and learn. Built like a classroom without walls, every area is designed to spark curiosity and invite children to use activities in multiple ways—encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and independent discovery.

Unlike arcade-style play zones, our structures are inspired by the natural world, and all of our toys are eco-friendly and toxin-free, ensuring both safety and sustainability. The space is sensory-rich yet calming, gently challenging children’s developing bodies and minds as they explore.

Our programs focus on early STEAM education, offering science explorations, sensory-based activities, and nature-inspired classes that lay the foundation for critical thinking and innovation. The Play Lab is not only a beloved neighborhood hub for families to connect but also a place where children’s imaginations and love of learning are nurtured every day.
PLAY KIDS
Play Kids is our award-winning after-school and birthday party venue for children ages 4–8, where STEAM learning is the heart of everything we do. Each year, we design innovative new classes—ranging from Art & Clay Studio and French Language & Culture (with art, history, and even soccer!) to Coding, Engineering, and Science and Sports—that give children fresh opportunities to explore, create, and grow.

Our offerings include engaging STEM and Art programs, dynamic Sports and Language classes, immersive Day Camps, Sustainable Birthday Parties, and even cozy drop-off Movie Nights.

Every experience is built on our Montessori-inspired, hands-on philosophy, where learning happens through play, discovery, and creativity.

With a decade of collaboration alongside our Brooklyn community, Play Kids has become a trusted hub for out-of-school STEAM education—a place where curiosity is sparked, critical thinking is nurtured, and children develop the skills and confidence to thrive.

Play Greenpoint's mission is to provide a safe, creative,
and earth-friendly learning environment for all children.
Founded by local mom & educator, Magda Lahliti,
the pioneer of low-stimulation play spaces,
we collaborate with our Brooklyn community, working together
to serve the needs of local families and beyond.
COMMUNITY
Our goal is to be an essential and supportive hub for families, offering a diverse array of programs under one eco-friendly roof including STEM, art, sports, language classes, and free community events. At Play Greenpoint, we understand the value of mind-body learning, connection with our earth, and the importance of Play.
